CETAMADA Association

CETAMADA is an association of non-profit Malagasy law founded in May 2009.
Our goal is the preservation of marine mammal populations and their habitat in Madagascar. By involving local people in its activities, the association is committed to a sustainable development approach. CETAMADA support the establishment of economic activities on marine mammals that generate direct income for communities.
Our activities are focused around four areas of action:

  • The framing and promotion of sustainable tourism
  • Education and awareness of the environment and marine heritage
  • The development of community activities
  • The scientific research

Our places of assignment

Headquartered in Sainte Marie island, north-east of Madagascar, the association acts on the entire territory of Madagascar, including:

  • Tuléar
  • Fort Dauphin
  • Maroantsetra
  • Mahambo
